Friday July 22th 12:00PM - Sunday July 24th 12:00PM

EFF is excited to announce that we will be running a "Capture the Flag" hacking contest at The Eleventh HOPE! This will be a Jeopardy Style CTF with a number of challenges and puzzles to solve for points. The challenges will include web hacking, reverse engineering, cryptography, forensics, and more. Participants will need access to a Linux based OS for certain challenges. All skill levels are welcome! We have a variety of challenges ranging from first timer-friendly to fiendishly hard.

The first players on the scoreboard are eligible for a free YubiKey 4 courtesy of Yubico! The top CTF winners will receive an array of special EFF gear, books from No Starch Press, and infinite bragging rights.

The contest will run for 48 hours from Friday, July 22 at noon until Sunday, July 24 at noon. Contestants must be at the HOPE conference to be eligible, so stop by the EFF vendor table for your entry code. You can also learn more about our other activities in New York that weekend. Cheers to HOPE and the hacker community for standing alongside EFF to preserve the freedom to explore, tinker, and create.
